Séance Mystique
​
For years I have found inspiration in ghost stories, not only me. Everyone knows the stories, vividly retold indoors, of experiences or moments for which there are no explanations.
Too purposeful hence overwriting coincidence.
This passion led to my fascination with spiritualism.
A singularity with a history as old as life itself. The ultimate question to which the answer remains unanswered: "Does it stop here?"
150 years ago, spritism experienced a Western resurgence. In a world without radio or television, people tried to contact the beyond, asked questions until answers came.
In Séance Mystique, we revive the Victorian Séance. Nikolaas Martens takes you in an intimate performance through the rooms of House of Mysteries to make contact with the Beyond.​

Bénévol
​
House of Mysteries has a special guest on visit for this performance, the spirit of Luigi M. Bénévole, better known as Bénévol, head chopper.
This master illusionist and spiritualist traveled the world in the early 20th century under the name Bénévol - Master Of Mysteries.
Very little is known of this magician, although he displayed some very mysterious habits.
His journey stops at House of Mysteries. In this show, illusionist and spiritualist Nikolaas Martens will contact the spirit of Bénévol to relive his magic.
Get ready for a show full of humor, magic and mystery under the watchful eye of Bénévol - Master of Mysteries.
